Garthorpe Navy

Description

Garthorpe is our new loafer espadrille, cut in soft navy suede. Traditional espadrilles date back to the 14th Century in Spain and southern France. In modern times it is the white jute sole that gives it its recognisable look. Originally constructed from esparto, a tough wiry Mediterranean grass, the jute twines are machine braided and then manually formed into the shape of the sole. The sole is then finished with a rubber outsole for durability. The loafer design upper is then hand stitched to the jute sole. A great summer wardrobe essential.
