Our classic regular-fit jeans updated with a lighter weight and softer 13oz Japanese Selvedge denim with a white edge. This is our take on selvedge denim – we give it a light wash for a soft handle and a broken-in feel. Wear these jeans with a white Classic T-shirt for a timeless contemporary look. Selvedge denim is made with shuttle looms moving at a slower pace and putting less tension on the yarn, which adds character to the denim. As a sign of the quality the Selvedge or edge of the fabric is left visible. It's crafted for us at the Kuroki mill in the city of Ibara, Okayama. Since 1965 the factory has specialised in rope-dyeing denim, a time-intensive process that gives a rich indigo. River water used by the mill to soften the fabric is treated and recycled for use in the rice paddies of Okayama. Product Code: MJEA3906-BUSV
